Bellows: Shruti & Harmonium

Privacy Policy

Effective October 2026 · Last updated 25 October 2026

Bellows doesn't collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts and no servers, and it contains no analytics, advertising or tracking. When you use Sing Sa, the microphone listens on your device only, and nothing is recorded, stored or sent.

Who we are

Bellows (the “app”) is made by Ansmate Bilisim Danismanlik Egitim Hizmetleri Ithalat Ihracat Limited Sirketi (“Ansmate”, “we”). Ansmate is the data controller for any personal data described in this policy, under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). Contact: info@databin.net.

What we collect through the app

Nothing. The app never sends data to us or to anyone else on our behalf. It contains no third-party code that collects data: no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software. It doesn't use the advertising identifier and doesn't track you across apps or websites. On the App Store, its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.

Microphone (Sing Sa)

Sing Sa lets you set the drone's key by singing: you sing or hum a note and hold it, and Bellows suggests that note as Sa. Bellows asks for the microphone the first time you use Sing Sa, and uses it only while the Sing Sa screen is listening. It stops as soon as a steady note is heard, after 20 seconds without one, when you cancel, or when you leave the app.

While it listens, the sound is analysed on your device, in real time, to find its pitch. Only the last fraction of a second is held in memory for that, and it is discarded when listening stops. The sound is never recorded, saved to a file or sent anywhere. The only thing Bellows keeps is the Sa you choose, as one of its settings.

You don't have to allow the microphone: you can always pick Sa from the list, and everything else in Bellows works without it.

What stays on your device

Bellows keeps its settings on this device: the instrument, Sa, the reeds and drone stops you turned on, sensitivity, sustain, which bellows strokes add air (including Silent close), note labels and whether the Touch bellows strip is shown. On iPhone Duo it also keeps a count of hinge cycles. On iPhone Duo, the hinge's opening angle drives the bellows; it is used on the device and not stored. Like any app's data, the settings can be part of your device backups. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Third parties

We don't share data with anyone, because the app gives us none. Apple provides the App Store and the operating system under its own privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us crash reports and app usage statistics in a form that doesn't identify you; the app itself doesn't collect them.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to answer you. We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, don't share it with anyone, and delete it sooner if you ask.

Your choices and rights

Children

Bellows collects no data from anyone, including children.
