Privacy Policy

Chairside doesn't collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts and no servers, and it contains no analytics, advertising or tracking. Nothing the app stores is ever sent to us.

Who we are

Chairside Fitting (“Chairside”, the “app”) is made by Ansmate Bilisim Danismanlik Egitim Hizmetleri Ithalat Ihracat Limited Sirketi (“Ansmate”, “we”). Contact: info@databin.net. Ansmate is the data controller, under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), for the personal data we receive: only what you send us when you contact us (see “If you contact us”). Because the app sends us nothing, we don't process the data it stores; the store that uses the app is the controller of its customer records and decides what is recorded about its customers (see “The store's responsibility”).

What we collect through the app

Nothing. The app never sends data to us or to anyone else on our behalf. It contains no third-party code that collects data: no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software, and it doesn't use the advertising identifier. On the App Store, its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.

What stays on the device

Customer records (name, notes, favourite frames, measurements) and captured looks (photos of the customer with a virtual frame) are stored only on the device, in Chairside's own storage. They are excluded from iCloud and computer backups and protected by the device's data protection: with a passcode set, they can't be read while the device is locked. Store settings (store and staff name, mark, mirror options) are kept on the device too.

Camera

The camera shows the customer with virtual frames and measures the distance between the pupils (PD). Video is processed on the device as it arrives and is never recorded or sent anywhere. A still is kept only when staff tap Capture look (saved to the customer's record) or Calibrate (kept in memory until the measurement is done or cancelled).

Face measurements

Measurements are approximate fitting aids computed on the device from the image. They are not used to identify anyone and are not a prescription. They are saved only in the customer's record on the device.

Customer mirror (iPhone Duo)

On iPhone Duo the customer sees the try-on on the outer display of the same device. Nothing is transmitted.

PDF summaries

A PDF summary (store, staff, customer name, notes, measurements, favourite frames and looks) is created only when staff ask for it, and leaves the device only through the share sheet, to the destination staff choose (for example Mail, AirDrop or Files). What happens to it there is up to the store and the recipient. Chairside deletes its own copy when staff leave the record, create a new summary, or next open the app.

Deleting data

Delete customer removes the record, its measurements and all of its images from the device. A single look can be deleted from the record. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

The store's responsibility

Chairside is a tool for the store's staff. The store decides whose data is recorded and is responsible for telling customers, getting their consent before photographing or measuring them (for a child, the consent of a parent or guardian), and deleting records it no longer needs, as the law where the store operates requires (for example the GDPR in the EU and UK, or KVKK in Turkey).

Third parties

We don't share data with anyone, because the app gives us none. Apple provides the App Store and the operating system under its own privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics in a form that doesn't identify you; the app itself doesn't collect them.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to answer you. We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, don't share it with anyone, and delete it sooner if you ask. Under the GDPR and KVKK you may ask us about any personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at info@databin.net; you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Your choices

• Camera access can be turned off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, or in Settings > Apps > Chairside. Try-on and measuring then stop working; the catalog, records and PDFs keep working.
• Customers who want their data removed can ask the store, which can delete their record in the app.

Children

Chairside collects no data from anyone, including children. Records about minors stay on the store's device under the store's responsibility.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page, with a new date at the top.
